"A Song to Dream Away (Still Me)"
Another separation song at a time that is currently characterized by externally determined separation scenarios? Yes, but a constructive look back and a positive outlook. Not the retrospect of an offended, deeply hurt human being who is even troubled by jealousy fantasies. It is about sharing, the question of being together while preserving your own individuality and the question of whether you can “belong” to an other person since you cannot be “possessed” by him. The song, which comes across as a Kurt Vile-esque sentimental tune, enchanted by drifting -tremolo atmospheres, is, primarily, about one thing: the necessary serenity, which is staged musically minimalist but effective.
